IHICS - HIGH-RISE

Why IHICS - High-rise?

IHICS - High-rise is a product by the IHICS Philippines Corporation, best suited as complementary system for walls in high-rise buildings. It's key for achieving a safe, sustainable and qualitative result, while being easy to apply and reducing construction costs.

What can be prevented!

This picture of a partially collapsed facade after an earthquake clearly demonstrates the problems of the applied systems today.

  • Plaster that is too thick and heavy and does not adhere correctly to the underlying masonry.
  • Masonry that has fallen out due to inadequate or even missing reinforcement

These hazardous issues could be prevented using IHICS - High-rise
with its key features:

  • Hollow-blocks, which mechanically interlock and therefore cannot shift apartfrom each other
  • Reinforcement of walls, which is applied properly cross-wise and correctly mounted to the massive concrete main structure
  • Plaster, which thanks to its new formulation, can be applied thinly and is therefore massively lighter. However, due to the inherent properties of the material, it still adheres excellently and is more resistant

What makes IHICS - High-rise special

The Philippine construction method for multi-storey high-rise buildings in skeleton construction was taken into account within the IHICS - High-rise Wall Construction System. However, its associated weaknesses and defects are eliminated with IHICS - High-rise. This system allows a faster, more cost-effectively and above all much safer construction work, where the blocks are latched into the pre-installed vertical reinforcement between the posts of the concrete skeleton shell.

The IHICS - High-rise comprise of interlocking hollow blocks, which differentiate substantially from commonly used hollow blocks through their form and production method.

With IHICS - High-rise, the system structure and quality standard of the contained elements guarantee sustainability and longevity of the building fabric even in areas with unfavorable natural influences and weather conditions, such as typhoons and earthquakes.

Finally, the IHICS - High-rise guarantees an ecologically and economically construction of modern buildings that meet international standards.
