IHICS - FLOOR & CEILING KEY FEATURES

Unique recipes from IHICS Philippines Corporation are used to manufacture the hollow blocks as well as mortar and plaster. The material mixtures basically consists of limestone, rice husks and cement, which are sourced mostly locally.

The IHICS-Floor & Ceiling integrates with the composite construction of C-Purlin sheet metal-based T-beams a skeletal construction method into the system itself. In order that beams and reinforcements become an integral part of the system.

The blocks can be neatly lined up on the beams. The cost for formwork material such as plywood and nails and most time consuming formwork work can be reduced to a minimum. This has also a positive impact on the projekt duration.

The block is significantly lighter with an even improved quality and stability. This makes handling more timesaving. The achieved weight reduction has also a positive effect on the necessary foundation strength, and thus directly on the overall construction costs.

A further structural optimization provides the use of steel H-beams with supportive square tube posts for rooms with an open space architecture or terraces and balconies. Nontheless this supports also the lightweight construction.

The components form kind of a "lost" formwork in which the steel reinforcement can only be integrated at the right place. Together with the concrete slab the resulting floor-/ceiling-construction protects the inserted reinforcement.
Consequently, the construction achieves a high level of resistance to external influences due to the correct application of the steel reinforcement in terms of structural physics.

Furthermore, IHICS eco-friendly Impact sound insulation based on rice husk and cement reduces noise and improves living quality. Additionally most building electrical and sanitary installations can be inserted or retracted directly into the system. This eliminates the need for time-consuming work to create corresponding recesses. Even without being used for installations, the hollow chambers are used for cooling.

The innovative IHICS plaster adheres better on the ceilings and does not form the frequently observed hairline cracks when drying out. The plaster is simple and easy to apply. Thanks to the materials used, it is more resistant despite its thin application. This has also an additional positive effect on the total weight of the building.
